Voxtrot - “Whiskey” - Just Can’t Wait Any Longer (2004)
Officially unreleased. As the story goes, before they officially released any music, Voxtrot circulated a CD-R called Just Can’t Wait Any Longer with the following tracklisting:
- Whiskey
- Dirty Version
- Raised By Wolves
- Long Haul
- Missing Pieces
- Wrecking Force
I have personally never seen this CD-R; however, I do own a different CD-R with different artwork (“Voxtrot” in script, hand-stamped three times diagonally on a greyish paper) and a different track listing. Based on the tracklisting, this CD-R I own seems to be from a point earlier than Just Can’t Wait Any Longer The track “Long Haul” appears on this CD, but is titled “Untitled (Demo)” and does not include the female backing vocals.
Then, there is the matter of those five or so other early songs that exist, but not on either of these CD-Rs. I know they exist because I have them; someone sent me mp3s of them with no explanation back in my early days of Voxtrot fandom (December 2005). Where did they come from? How did that person get them?
Voxtrot was always, and continues to be, an enigma.
